IND Vs ENG: 5th Test to be played in Manchester Cancelled

India Vs England 5th Test: The fifth and last Test match between India and England to be played at Old Trafford, Manchester has been cancelled. The England and Wales Cricket Board has informed about the cancellation of the match. The ECB says that in view of the threat of coronavirus, the players of the Indian team have refused to play in the Manchester Test. The suspense remains on the scoreline of the series.

The ECB said, "Based on the ongoing negotiations with the Board of Control for Cricket in India, the Test match in Manchester is being cancelled. Indian players were scared due to the threat of coronavirus and India did not have a playing 11 to play in the match, so it has been decided to cancel the match.

The England and Wales Cricket Board has apologized to the fans for the cancellation of the match. The board said, "We apologize to our cricket fans, news partners. We have caused inconvenience to you guys. More information will be provided on this matter soon.

Suspense continues on the scoreline of the series

India has taken a 2-1 lead in the five-match series by winning the Oval Test. Despite the statement of the England and Wales Cricket Board, the suspense remains on the scoreline of the series. The ECB has used the word match cancel in its statement. Now the situation is not clear on what will be the future of the series.

On Thursday, the corona report of Team India's assistant physio was found positive. Since then a question mark has been raised on the Manchester Test. After the corona report of all the players came negative, the chances of the match having increased. But the Indian players had demanded another corona test before the match. Since the bio bubble made in England has been broken, Indian players may have to go through a quarantine period even before joining the IPL. An update on the matter will be issued by the BCCI soon.
