ICC Releases Latest Test Batting Rankings

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the latest Test batting rankings. In the ICC Test rankings, Indian captain Virat Kohli remains at number one but Cheteshwar Pujara has been dropped to number 7. Pakistani batsman Babar Azam, who scored a century against Bangladesh has achieved the career-best rankings. Babar has now moved up two places to fifth in the newly released Test batting rankings. The latest ICC Test rankings have been released on Tuesday with no change in the first four places. Virat Kohli remains at number one while Steve Smith of Australia is at second place. Australia's Marnus Labushagne is at number three, while Kane Williamson of New Zealand is at number four.

Babar Azam, who scored a century in the first Test match against Bangladesh, has jumped two places in the Test rankings. Babar, who was at number seven, has now reached number 5. In the Test match played against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi, Babar had played an innings of 143 runs. This was his fifth century of the Test career.

Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane have not played a Test match for a long time and that affects their rankings too. Pujara has dropped one place to the sixth position from seventh. At the same time, David Warner has come in sixth place. Ajinkya Rahane remains in the top 10 and holds the 9th position.
