India's opener Shikhar Dhawan has recovered from his thumb injury and has described himself as a fit for the upcoming West Indies tour. Dhawan was out due to injury due to two matches in the World Cup. The Indian team will be announced today for the West Indies tour.

Dhawan was hit on the left thumb during the World Cup match against Australia and he was running away from the ground on June 9. He was away from cricket for 6 weeks. Dhawan was hurt by the ball of Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins but still, he continued to bat. He hit a superb century (117) and India won the match by 36 runs. After this match, his injury was scanned and due to the hairline fracture, he was away from the field for 6 weeks.
