Akash Singh

The Afghanistan Cricket Board decided to re-appoint Asghar Afghan as captain for all formats, a decision that did not go well with Gulbadin Naib, who was named captain of the team in the ICC World Cup. Gulbadin Naib has threatened to expose the ongoing irregularity in the Afghanistan Cricket Board. He has threatened on social media that he may reveal Mafia Circle's involvement in Afghanistan cricket. He said that he will not tolerate the cheating with Afghanistan's cricket fans and the country.

Naib has said that he was made the captain of the team in the ICC World Cup, due to which some players performed poorly. All these players have admitted in front of the cricket board that they have deliberately played poorly. Naib was appointed as captain of the team two weeks before the start of the World Cup. The decision by the Afghanistan Cricket Board was also questioned. Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi came out in public and reacted to the appointment of Naib as captain and the removal of Asghar Afghan from the captaincy. During the World Cup, the Afghanistan team had lost all 9 matches they played. The team's performance under the captaincy of Naib was extremely average except for one or two matches.
