England Announces 17-men Squad for Test Series against India

The five-match Test between India and England will take place from next month. The hosts announced their squad for the first two matches on Wednesday. The command of the team has been handed over to regular captain Joe Root. Ollie Robinson, who was in controversy during the Test series against New Zealand, has been recalled to the squad. Meanwhile, Injury fast bowler Jofra Archer has not been included in the team.

Meanwhile, Jos Buttler, Jonny Bairstow and Sam Curran made a comeback in the longer format, including all-rounder Ben Stokes. Stokes did not play in the Test series played against New Zealand due to injury. He returned to international cricket in the home ODI series against Pakistan. Many big names Jofra Archer and Chris Woakes are not included in this 17-man squad for the two-Test matches selected against India.

India vs England full schedule:

The first Test match between the two countries will be played in Nottingham from August 4. The second match will take place in London from 12 to 16 August. Meanwhile, the third Test match will take place in Leeds from 25 to 29 August. In the fourth match, both the teams will compete in London from 2 to 6 September. The last and fifth match of the series will take place in Manchester from 10 to 14 September.
