Duckworth-Lewis method or DLS method has changed the cricket totally because this method is being used to make it easy to get the result of rain-interrupted matches. One of the creators of this method, Tony Lewis, has passed away. Tony Lewis has said goodbye to this world at the age of 78. In the 90s, Tony Lewis coined the rule with his fellow mathematician Frank Duckworth.

In 1997, the method was formulated by Tony Lewis and Frank Duckworth, which was officially adopted in 1999 by the International Cricket Council. If rain comes while chasing the run, then the result of matches is extracted from the ICC's DLS method. However, before 2014 the name of this method was only DL method, but in 2014 it was added to the S name.

In fact, in the year 2014, the team of Tony Lewis and Frank Duckworth was joined by Professor Steven Stern from Queensland, Australia. After this, this method got the name Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method i.e. DLS method. The method was first used in the 2015 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, following the success of which this rule was continued continuously, which is now official.
