On Monday, the Badminton World Federation (BWF) has taken a major decision. The World Badminton Federation on Monday postponed all its international tournaments until July, with most of the Grade Two and Grade Three tournaments. Tennis Grand slam has also been canceled before badminton, including a major tournament like Wimbledon, which is the oldest Grand slam in the world.

The Badminton World Federation has decided to cancel the HSBC BWF World Tour, BWF Tour and other tournaments validated by the BWF by July 2020, as more than 74 thousand people died due to coronavirus. The decision was taken by the World Badminton Federation after consultation with host member associations and subcontinental federations. During this time Indonesia Open 2020 was also postponed.

Normal life has been severely affected due to Coronavirus. In such a situation, no such tournament is being organized in big countries, in which people appear together. There are more chances of coronavirus from one person to another. In such a situation, nobody wants to endanger his life. That is why the federation is postponing or canceling the tournament for the next few months.
