Bangladesh’s Mahmudullah Makes Shocking Decision to Retire from Test Cricket

Bangladesh all-rounder Mahmudullah has announced his retirement from Test cricket in the middle of the game against Zimbabwe. He played a brilliant inning of 150 runs in the first innings of this match being played in Harare. On the third day of the match, Mahmudullah's decision surprised his teammate player along with the cricket board.

Coming out to play his 50th Test match, Mahmudullah scored 150 runs in the first innings. Thanks to these innings, the team scored 468 in the first innings. After bundled out Zimbabwe for 276 runs in the first innings, the team took a huge lead of 237 runs.

Brilliant innings from Mahmudullah

Batting at number 8 in the first innings, he played an unbeaten inning of 150 runs facing 278 balls. During this, he hit 17 fours and 1 six. Mahmudullah with Liton Das added 138 runs for the 7th wicket. At the same time, during the partnership for the 9th wicket, he shared a total of 191 important runs with Taskin Ahmed.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh player Taskin Ahmed and Zimbabwe pacer Blessing Muzarabani have both been fined 15 per cent of their match fees for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct. During the only Test match being played between the two, Zimbabwe pacer Blessing Muzarbani had a face-off with Bangladesh's Taskin Ahmed. The incident took place when Bangladesh's Taskin Ahmed successfully left a delivery from Blessing Muzarabani and broke into dance. Seeing this, a dispute arose between the two. Both the players abused each other fiercely. Meanwhile, the video has now gone viral on social media.
