After the ban on rallies and roadshows, social media can prove to be a saving grace for the parties ahead of UP elections. The biggest proof of this is the formation of IT cells in all the states by different parties, through which all the parties are trying to strengthen themselves via digital war rooms. On the same lines, the women's wing of the Samajwadi Party is also training itself to conquer the digital space. So that through social media, they can convey the agenda of their party to the public.

Women leaders of the party are trying to make fullest of social media’s campaigning potential. This time, it will be very interesting to see the role of digital media in this unconventional election battle. Analysing the potential of these digital war rooms, social media veterans also believe that those who have prepared the most in 2019 are going to benefit the most in this election.

In this episode, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has instructed his workers, following the Corona guidelines, that now they should train all the workers for doing digital campaigns through social media. Social media is not only capable of making any kind of party activity reach as many people as possible, but it is also a strong link to connect them to the party’s motives. Ever since the Election Commission banned the rallies, the leaders may have been upset, but now they are also making every effort to make digital propaganda a weapon.

Understanding this very well, SP has given full facility from laptop to tab and internet in the digital war room set up by women leaders in Varanasi. So that the women leaders who are training the women workers that are gathering here for two hours every day, can learn the virtues of how to take the policies of the Samajwadi Party to the public through social media platforms. In these policies, mainly SP is being taught to put forth promises like free electricity, women's security and reducing inflation.

EC has directed to campaign through social media

Let us inform you that due to Corona, the Election Commission has directed to campaign through social media instead of roadshows and rallies, on which the parties have also started working. With this move of SP, along with giving a strong message of giving preference to women, it also shows that this time SP does not want to leave any stone unturned in the electoral battle.
