Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has said that the state government is not considering ending the lockdown in the near future but will look at options to relax some restrictions in a phased manner. He said that it is not possible to start interstate bus, train or airline immediately after May 3.

After an all-party meeting called by the state government, Deb said on Wednesday evening, "We have not found a way to end the lockdown as this is the only way to break the link of corona virus infection." It looks like we will have to continue the lockdown and we will roll back some restrictions in a phased manner. "

The ruling BJP, Indigenous People's Front of Tripura (IPFT), CPI (M), Congress and INPT participated in the meeting. Dev said, "It is not possible to restore the interstate bus, train or airline after May 3, people have to accept the lockdown. All political parties in the state have been made aware of the status of Covid-19 in the state. "

He said that no political party insisted on ending the lockdown immediately. Other leaders, including CPI (M) Polit Bureau member and Leader of the Opposition Manik Sarkar and Tripura Pradesh Congress President Piyush Kanti Biswas were present in the meeting.
