The Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee has written a letter to Chief Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra, demanding a ban on large election rallies in the Corona crisis. In the letter, demand has also been made from the commission to stop PM Narendra Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath from using the government machinery. The Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee alleges that the inauguration and foundation stone are being laid with government funds. During the program, the platform of the event is being used for political rhetoric.

Political parties should cancel big rallies

Corona Crisis

In view of the third wave of Corona, the Congress has advised to take many precautions in the assembly elections 2022. The party has told the commission that political parties should be motivated for small meetings, chaupals, street meetings, virtual meetings, door-to-door campaigns or other events regarding the Corona crisis. Political parties should cancel big rallies, so that corona infection is stopped.

2,500 teachers and employees died of corona in Panchayat Elections

There is also a mention of Panchayat elections in the letter of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee. The party has written that in the Panchayat elections, teachers, officers, security personnel were forced to do duty, among them 2,500 teachers and employees died of corona. Care has to be taken to prevent recurrence of such tragedy. Corona guidelines have to be followed to keep the public safe in view of the third wave.

The Congress party has said that PM Narendra Modi is inaugurating and laying the foundation stone through big rallies as the elections are near. Government money and machinery is being used in this. These programs have become more of a platform for BJP's campaign. The PM is sniping at political parties by going outside the purview of the Constitution. Political rhetoric is also being made from his Twitter handle. This should be stopped immediately.

Congress has also cancelled the marathon ‘Ladki Hun Lad Sakti Hun’

The party alleges that CM Yogi Adityanath, Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma are holding rallies at government expense. They are also giving speeches that divide people against the constitution. The present government is misusing the power. People's issues should be raised instead of provocative speeches in elections. Let us inform that after seeing the corona infection, the Congress has cancelled the marathon ‘Ladki Hun Lad Sakti Hun’. Along with this, the Congress party has also taken the decision not to hold big rallies.
