Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who arrived in Gorakhpur on Friday evening on a two-day tour, performed Rudrabhishek in his Shaktipeeth at his residence on Saturday morning for protection from corona infection.  According to the temple management, he left for Lucknow after worship.

Chief Minister Yogi came out of his residence at around 5.30 pm on Saturday morning.  First of all he worshiped Guru Gorakhnath and Akhand Jyoti.  After that, he went to the tomb of his Guru Brahma In Mahant Avedyanath and took his blessings.  While visiting the temple complex, he reached Goshala, where he spent about half an hour in Goseva.  Interacted with the servants caring for the cows of Gaushala and directed them to pay special attention to the cleanliness.

After Gosseva, in order of public service, he reached the Shaktipeeth of his residence, where the head of the temple, the priest Acharya Ramanuja Tripathi, performed the rudrabhishekam with full force.  This ritual, which lasted about two hours, was performed with 25 liters of Mahadravya along with the chanting of maha mantras of the eighth chapter of Ashtadhyayi of Shukla Yajurveda Samhita.  Earlier, the Chief Minister had Rudrabhishek during his Gorakhnath Temple stay in Holi to prevent the corona infection.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached Gorakhpur for the first time on Friday during the lockdown.  This is the first time he has stayed away from his monastery for two whole months after connecting with the Gorakhnath temple.  By doing this, he once again introduced the notion of the surrender of Nath Peetha.  He also distanced himself from the monastery of which he belonged to Peethadheeshwar for two months to perform Rajdharma during the Corona transition.
