Former JD(U) leader Ajay Alok joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in Delhi on April 28, with Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in attendance.

He was suspended from JD(U)'s primary membership last year for engaging in anti-party activities. The party also expelled him from his position as spokesperson.

The JD(U) also suspended state general secretaries Anil Kumar and Vipin Kumar Yadav from their primary membership, in addition to Ajay Alok's expulsion.

JD(U) takes action against leaders for anti-party activities

Bihar JD(U) chief Umesh Singh Kushwaha has stated that "State general secretaries Anil Kumar and Vipin Yadav, as well as spokesperson Ajay Alok, have been relieved of their positions and suspended from the primary membership of the party."

The party has also suspended Jitendra Neeraj from the primary membership of the party. This decision has been made to reinforce the party and uphold discipline within it.

Ajay Alok expressed gratitude towards the party for relieving him

According to ANI, the party issued a statement stating that "There were complaints in the last few months about running programs against the interests of the party and misleading the workers."

The statement also mentioned that despite warnings to some office-bearers to refrain from such actions, anti-party activities continued.

In response to his expulsion, Ajay Alok expressed gratitude towards the party for relieving him and conveyed his best wishes to the party.
