The stage is set for the newly formed alliance of Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress – a poster of 'Maha Vikas Agadi' alliance led by Uddhav Thackeray to form government in Maharashtra was seen near Shiv Sena Bhavan, one of which is a picture of Balasaheb Thackeray and other former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

It has been written on the poster that Balasaheb's dream of becoming Chief Minister from Shiv Sena has been fulfilled. An old photograph also appeared in this poster in which Balasaheb Thackeray is seen greeting Indira Gandhi. There is also a picture of Uddhav Thackeray and Aditya Thackeray on this poster. Contrary to popular belief, Bal Thackeray was a supporter of many policies of Indira Gandhi. The Shiv Sena has supported the Congress on several occasions. Thackeray also supported the Emergency imposed by Indira Gandhi in 1975, when most other parties were opposing it. On Wednesday, senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut accused the BJP of using the image of Bal Thackeray to win the election. Raut said, "For 25 years he used the poster of Bala Saheb Thackeray to win elections in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh."

Uddhav Thackeray  to take oath as Chief Minister of the state at Shivaji Park on Thursday (today) at 6:40 pm. Top Shiv Sena leaders have said that they are fulfilling their party founder Bal Thackeray's promise to become the Chief Minister. Thackeray breathed his last on 17 November 2012 after a cardiac arrest at the age of 86. The new political development in Maharashtra comes after BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis submitted his resignation as Chief Minister to the Governor on Tuesday as the majority fell short of the required number of MLAs for the test.
