Coronavirus in UP: 817 New Cases Reported in 24 Hours

In Uttar Pradesh (UP), 817 new cases of corona infected have been reported in the last 24 hours, while there are 6869 active cases of corona and 7221 cured patients in UP so far. The recovery rate in UP has reached to 69.36 percent while the country's recovery rate is 59.43 percent.  It should be noted that so far 735 infected people have died due to corona virus in UP.

Additional Chief Secretary of the Medical and Health Department of Uttar Pradesh, Amit Mohan Prasad, said today on Thursday (July 2) that 24890 samples were tested in the state yesterday (July 1). So far, a total of 7,81,584 samples have been tested in the state.

2375 monitoring committees have been formed in rural areas and 1516 in urban areas

On the other hand, Additional Chief Secretary Home Avneesh Awasthi said today that monitoring work has started in 6 districts of Meerut Division. 2375 monitoring committees have been formed in rural areas and 1516 in urban areas, whereas a total of 3891 monitoring committees are formed in Meerut division. 1532 surveillance teams have been deployed in Gautam Buddha Nagar, 2161 in Ghaziabad, 1398 in Meerut, 493 in Baghpat, 1356 in Bulandshahar and 545 in Hapur. Let us tell you that so far a total of 7485 surveillance teams have been deployed.

17,834 people have died in the country so far

According to the Central Health and Family Welfare, till July 2 (Thursday) at 8 am, a total of 6,04,641 cases of corona have been reported in the country so far. Out of this, 2,26,947 are active cases, while, 3,59,860 people have become infection free. At the same time, a total of 17,834 people have died in the country so far from Corona, whereas in the last 24 hours, 19,148 new cases of corona have been reported in the country and 434 people have also died. With this, the figure of corona patients in India has crossed 6 lakh mark.
