After the Cancellation of Trains due to “Janata Curfew”, Railways has also given Comfort to the Passengers

The Indian Railways has taken a big decision due to Corona virus.  Indian Railways has decided to cancel all trains from 22 March midnight to 31 March today.  During this time only selected trains will run.  Railways is also playing a role on Janata curfew.  In view of unprecedented initiative, the Ministry of Railways decided to completely stop rail traffic in the country between 12 pm and 10 pm on Saturday night.

However, some services and Kolkata Metro Rail service will continue till midnight of 22 March.  Subsequently, these services will be halted until midnight on 31 March. Indian Rail Ministry of Railways has given this information.

During the time of Janata curfew, PM has appealed everyone to stay inside the home.  According to the directive issued by the Railway Ministry, no trains will run from its own during the scheduled period of March 21-22. The country is witnessing a rapid increase in the corona virus cases.  So far, 341 cases have been confirmed in India.  At the same time, six people have died from COVID-19

After the cancellation of trains due to public curfew, the railways have also given relief to the passengers.  With the return of the full fare of the passengers, the ticket can be canceled for 45 days from the date of departure of the train.  At the same time, no change has been made in the ticket refund rule made on the IRCTC website.
