Several Former MLAs Including Mehbooba Mufti Ordered to Vacate Government Quarters

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has been served a notice asking her to vacate her official residence in her home district Anantnag.

Officials gave this information on Sunday. Seven other former MLAs living in government quarters in South Kashmir's Anantnag district have been issued notices asking them to vacate.

Earlier on October 15, Estates Department of Kashmir sent a notice to PDP chief

Earlier on October 15, the Estates Department of Kashmir sent a notice to the PDP chief to vacate his official Fair View residence at Gupkar Road, Srinagar.

Officials said that on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, the Executive Magistrate (First Class) on Saturday served notices to Mehbooba Mufti and 7 other former MLAs to vacate their government residences.

Action can be taken for not vacating the premises

Residents of government quarter numbers 1, 4, 6 and 7 of former MLA Mohd Altaf Wani, former MLA Abdul Rahim Rather, former MLA Abdul Majeed Bhat and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti have been asked to vacate within 24 hours.

Others who have been asked to vacate the government quarters include former MLA Altaf Shah, former MLC Bashir Shah alias Veeri, former MLC Choudhary Nizamuddin, former MLA Abdul Kabir Pathan and MC councillor Sheikh Mohiuddin.

The Government Quarters Housing Colony is located in Khanabal. The occupiers have been warned of action under the law for not vacating the premises within the stipulated time.

This is not BJP's India - Mehbooba

On the other hand, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday appealed to the youth to participate in the upcoming civic and assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, saying that this is their weapon to fight for their rights and they should not leave any space for BJP.
