NIA's Action against D-Company: Raids on Multiple Locations Linked to Dawood Ibrahim

Action against D-Company: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has started a major action against underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. NIA raids at multiple locations of sharpshooters and drug smugglers linked to Dawood on Monday.

The investigating agency told news agency ANI that many hawala operators and drug smugglers have links with Dawood Ibrahim. The NIA had registered a case against him in February itself. Raids have been started against them from today i.e. May 9.

Action against D-Company: Raids at over a dozen places

Investigation agency NIA further told that raids have been started at many places on the premises of the associates of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. Raids are being conducted by the investigating agency at Nagpada, Goregaon, Borivali, Santacruz, Mumbra, Bhendi Bazaar and other places.

Simultaneously, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids at over a dozen places in Mumbai against Pakistan-based gangster Dawood Ibrahim's associates and some hawala operators.

Let us inform you that in February of this year, the Union Home Ministry has entrusted the investigation of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's D-Company to the NIA. NIA is the largest investigating agency in the country to investigate terrorist activities.

Earlier action was being taken by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Action was being taken by the ED against money laundering, hawala and drug smuggling.

D-Company has also been banned by the United Nations

Not only this, underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's D-Company has also been banned by the United Nations, calling it a terrorist organization. Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim is the main accused in the 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts and he is absconding from the country for many years.

Apart from the Government of India, Interpol has also issued a Red Corner Notice for his arrest. His company was declared a global terrorist organization by the United Nations in 2003 itself. It is said that the neighboring country Pakistan has given shelter to underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and uses him for anti-India activities.
