The movie 'The Kashmir Files', based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits, is getting a great response at the box office. It is being discussed a lot from social media to all the platforms. The movie is produced by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, the film stars Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumar and Pallavi Joshi in lead roles. Many states have made this movie tax free in their own right. Meanwhile, the Kerala Congress has made several tweets regarding the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from Jammu and Kashmir, which has sparked controversy.

There has been a debate on social media about the facts that Kerala Congress has put about the Kashmiri Pandits issue. Congress wrote in a series of tweets, 'They were terrorists who targeted Kashmiri Pandits. Between 1990 and 2007, 399 Kashmiri Pandits were killed in terrorist attacks in Kashmir. During the same period, terrorists killed 15,000 Muslims.

Kerala Congress targetted BJP

Attacking the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Kerala Congress said that Kashmiri Pandits left the Valley en masse and the governor at that time was Jagmohan, an RSS man. The exodus started under the BJP-backed VP Singh government. The tweet read, 'BJP-backed VP Singh government came to power in December 1989. The exodus of Kashmiri Pandits began the following month in January 1990. BJP did nothing and continued to support Vishwanath Pratap Singh till November 1990.

Congress claimed that the government of UPA built 5242 houses for Kashmiri Pandits in Jammu. Apart from this, an assistance amount of Rs 5 lakh was given to each family of Kashmiri Pandits, this included scholarships to the students of the family of Pandits and welfare schemes for farmers.

Users are furious about Congress's tweet

The party unit claimed that instead of providing security to the Pandits, Governor Jagmohan asked them to relocate to Jammu. The tweet said, 'The BJP was planning a Hindu-Muslim divide in the country on the Ram Mandir issue in Ayodhya during the exodus. The Pandits issue was in line with the BJP's propaganda to create fake outrage for electoral gains. Users are furious about this tweet of the Kerala Congress on Twitter.
