The alleged mastermind of the ISI module, Humaid ur-Rehman, has been nabbed by the UP ATS from Prayagraj on Friday. ATS sources say that he was wanted in the investigation being done by the Delhi Special Cell. Humaid ur Rehman is said to be the uncle of Osama, arrested from Delhi. ATS has handed over Humaid ur-Rehman to Delhi Police.
On the other hand, IG ATS GK Goswami himself has reached Delhi to get information about the facts related to UP in this whole matter and the remaining connections of the suspected terrorists caught in UP. Sources say that the UP ATS team is already interrogating the suspected terrorists who have come on the remand of Delhi Police. An ATS team had reached Delhi on Thursday itself. It is being told that some more arrests may also be made in this case soon.
After the terrorist was caught in Prayagraj, there has been a high alert in the railway and airport. The ATS has started preparations to scrutinize the CCTV cameras installed at Prayagraj Junction and Prayagraj Airport to know the activities of Zeeshan Qamar, who was arrested from the city during the busting of a Pakistan-backed terror module here. It is being told that during the interrogation by the ATS, the matter of some suspicious people coming to Prayagraj by train and plane has come to the fore. Now preparations are being made to scrutinize the CCTV footage to identify them.
On the other hand, fish seller Imtiaz, who was picked up by the ATS on suspicion of terrorist connection, reached home with the family late on Friday evening. After questioning, the ATS gave him a clean chit. On getting information about Imtiaz reaching home, a crowd of villagers started gathering. Everyone wanted to know about ATS's interrogation from him, but he went towards the farm, keeping distance from the people.
