Bhupendra Patel Oath Ceremony: About 2000 Leaders including PM, Amit Shah Attend Grand Ceremony

Bhupendra Patel Oath Ceremony: Bhupendra Patel, 62, took oath as the 18th Chief Minister of Gujarat on Monday i.e. December 12. Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat administered the oath of office at 2.00 pm at the helipad ground of the Gandhinagar secretariat.

After Bhupendra Patel, 16 ministers also took the oath. Bhupendra Patel has become the CM of Gujarat for the second consecutive time.

Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh were also present at the ceremony along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

CMs of BJP-ruled states also came to participate in the programme. At the same time, more than 2000 other leaders and 200 saints also became part of the oath-taking.

Bhupendra Patel's cabinet

Cabinet Ministers: Kanubhai Desai, Raghavji Patel, Rushikesh Patel, Bhanu Babariya, Balvantsinh Rajput, Kuberbhai Dindor, Kunvarji Bavaliya, Ayar Mulubhai Hardasbhai Bera.

Ministers of State with Independent Charge: Harsh Sanghavi, Jagdish Vishwakarma.

Ministers of State: Parshottambhai Solanki, Mukeshbhai Patel, Bachubhai Khabad, Bhikhubhai Parmar, Praful Panseria, Kunvarjibhai Halpati.

Hardik Patel could not find a place in Bhupendra Patel's cabinet. Although Patel had said in the morning that the party would decide whether he would remain in the cabinet or not.

Modi reached Ahmedabad a day before

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has been holding frequent meetings in Gujarat ahead of the elections, arrived in Ahmedabad a day before Patel's swearing-in. There he did a roadshow.

Despite being late, people were seen standing to welcome Modi. Modi also greeted the people by slowing down the speed of his car.

Significantly, in Gujarat elections, BJP won 156 out of total 182 assembly seats, Congress 17, AAP 5 and other candidates 4 seats.

This is BJP's 7th consecutive victory in Gujarat. Bhupendra Patel resigned along with his entire cabinet on Friday i.e. December 09, after which a new government has been formed in Gujarat today.
