3 Lashkar Terrorists Killed in Encounter with Security Forces in J&K's Pulwama, Arms and Ammunition Recovered

Encounter in Pulwama: Security forces on Sunday gunned down three terrorists of the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district.

The encounter took place in the Drabgam area of ​​Pulwama. Earlier one terrorist was killed, but later two more terrorists were killed in the operation.

The encounter started at around 6:55 pm on Saturday i.e. on June 11. This operation, which lasted for about 11 hours, was carried out jointly by Jammu and Kashmir Police, Army's 44 RR, 12 Sector RR, and CRPF.

Incriminating material including arms and ammunition was also recovered from the terrorists, which include two AK-47 rifles and a pistol.

One of the terrorists was identified as Junaid Shirgojri. The other two slain terrorists have been identified as Fazil Nazir Bhat and Irfan Ah Malik from the Pulwama district. All three were missing since last month.

IGP of Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that all three terrorists were killed in the encounter with security forces. Also, he said that terrorists are local, who are associated with the terrorist organization Lashkar.

One of them has been identified as Junaid Shirgojri, who was involved in the killing of our colleague Shaheed Riyaz Ahmed on May 13. This was the second encounter in South Kashmir in the last 24 hours. Earlier in the night, a terrorist of the Hizbul terrorist organization was killed in an encounter in Kulgam.
