Mehbooba Mufti, former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and President of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. ANI's tweet states that Mehbooba Mufti has written a letter to PM Narendra Modi. However, in this, it has been demanded to do justice to the Kashmiri students who celebrated the victory of the neighbouring country after the T20 World Cup cricket match played between India and Pakistan.
PDP President Mehbooba Mufti has said that three Kashmiri students of Agra have been arrested on charges of sedition. A case of sedition has been registered against him. The Prime Minister should intervene in this matter and get the three Kashmiri students released so that their future is not spoiled.
India and Pakistan met in the T20 World Cup on 24 October. Pakistan defeated Team India by 10 wickets. After India's defeat and Pakistan's victory, Pakistan's victory was celebrated in many parts of the country including Jammu and Kashmir. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and other nationalist organizations strongly opposed it.
