Facebook has said after the death of 50 people in a terrorist attack on the New Zealand mosque that he is preparing to ban the user who will go live on his platform. The company is going to tighten the rules regarding the use of the Facebook Live Streaming service. However, certain criteria will be kept for this.

Facebook is an American online social media and social networking service company. It is based in Menlo Park, California. It was founded by Mark Zuckerberg, along with fellow Harvard College students and roommates Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz, and Chris Hughes. It is considered one of the Big Four technology companies along with Amazon, Apple, and Google.

Facebook's Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg said in a blog post that the company will monitor on the basis of Community Guidelines, who can go live on Facebook. Sandberg wrote in the blog that after the incident questions were raised how to use online media like Facebook to circular such a horrible video.

He said that Facebook is considering banning such users. This is the reason that many changes are being made on Facebook to prevent cases of hate. In Australia and New Zealand, the company is also using AI technology to identify hate groups and remove them from Facebook.

Such groups will not be able to use Facebook services. The company has asked to take three types of steps. First- Strict the rules of Facebook Live; Second- Preventing the spread of hatred and third- New Zealand community support.

The Facebook Head wrote in his blog that the company is considering banning people who have already violated the rules on Facebook Live in order to stop or re-post the edited version.

 Facebook is also looking for technology through improvement of software that allows the edited version of violent video and photographs to be immediately detected and prevented from sharing or re-posting.

Facebook had more than 2.2 billion monthly active users as of January 2018. It receives prominent media coverage, including many controversies such as user privacy and psychological effects. The company has faced intense pressure over censorship and over content that some users find objectionable.
