Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's public meeting will be held today at Railnagri Kharagpur under West Medinipur district. Preparations have been completed for this meeting to be held from 12 noon in the local Ravana ground. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had announced a Thanksgiving gathering in the city after the success of the by-election from Kharagpur Sadar seat for the first time.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will reach the venue by helicopter to address the public meeting held at Ravana Maidan in Kharagpur under West Medinipur district. It is from this meeting that he is expected to return to Digha under Medinipur district, where industrialists from India and abroad are expected to participate in the commerce conference held from 10 to 12 December. Encouraged by the resounding victory in the Kharagpur Sadar Assembly by-election, TMC supremo and state Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had announced to come to the city on December 9 to express gratitude to the voters themselves before the Vidhan Sabha Bhavan. Only after this, extensive preparations of the assembly started at the political and administrative level.

Ravana Maidan was selected for the gathering by the senior police and administrative officials. According to sources, the Chief Minister will reach Railnagri by helicopter.
