Lockdown Extended for a Week in Abu Dhabi, Reported more than 40 Thousand Cases of Corona

The UAE capital Abu Dhabi has extended a lockdown on the Corona virus epidemic for another week.  Government officials announced an extension of the shutdown late Monday, preventing people from leaving their territory in Abu Dhabi.

People-out and outings in the rest of the United Arab Emirates and in Abu Dhabi are banned, with a consortium of seven US allies, Sheikhdom, also in Dubai.  This lockdown is implemented when the rest of the UAE's oil-economy and tourism industry is badly affected by the epidemic and is trying to reopen its non-oil economy.

For information, let us tell you that about 40,000 cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in UAE and 280 people have died in the country, however out of the total cases reported, 22,000 people are still
