Homemade Szechwan Sauce: Try this Recipe at Home

Homemade Szechwan sauce is a recipe that you can easily make from home-made ingredients. This recipe made with tomato, red chilli, green onion leaf, soy sauce and lemon juice is preferred with noodles and rice dishes.

Ingredients of Homemade Szechwan Sauce:

2 finely chopped tomatoes

20 red chillies

6 tablespoons grated ginger

2 teaspoons black pepper

3 tablespoon soy sauce

Water as required

1 bunch finely chopped green onion leaves

1/2 cup finely chopped garlic

10 ml sesame oil

6 pinch of salt

3 tablespoons lemon juice

How To Make Homemade Szechwan Sauce:

 Step 1:

To make Szechwan sauce, soak red chillies in a vessel for half an hour. If soaked well, remove it from the water and make a fine paste.

 Step 2:

Add a little water while grinding so that the paste does not become too thick.

 Step 3:

Put sesame oil in a pan and heat it on medium heat. When the oil is hot, add finely chopped ginger and grated ginger.

 Step 4:

Stir all the ingredients till the raw smell is gone.

 Step 5:

If you like garlic more then you can add more according to your taste.

 Step 6:

Turn down the heat and add the red chili paste. Cook the mixture on medium flame for 1 minute.

 Step 7:

Now add finely chopped tomatoes and reduce the flame. You can also add some oil.

 Step 8:

Cook the tomatoes for a while, add the spring onion leaves and turn the flame to medium.

 Step 9:

Now add black pepper powder, soy sauce and salt. Turn off the gas when the oil starts separating.

 Step 10:

Stir the sauce by adding lemon juice. Put the sauce in a bowl and let it cool.

 Step 11:

Place the Szechwan sauce in a clean, airtight container. It will be able to eat for 2 weeks.

 Step 12:

Szechwan sauce tastes great with French fry and chicken nuggets.
