Surrogacy and IVF is giving freedom to not only women but also men to choose single parenthood. Yusuf Khan, based in Dubai, became a single parent for the first time in the 12th attempt and gave birth to a child in Panaji. Yusuf is said to be the first such successful case of Goa.

Yusuf is a music teacher and these days he is experiencing a new experience in his life. From changing his son Kabir's diaper to bathing, feeding and singing it every few hours. 36-year-old Yusuf Khan, originally from Pune, said that the decision to become a single parent is due to the immense love for children and to fulfill this he does not want to get married.

Yusuf said, 'I am not looking for a life partner. I have already set my path. I do not have the relationship gene but the parenting gene is very strong. I wanted a child whom I could always remember. Single father should not hide under the guise of getting married. ' He further said, 'We should hide what we are doing, but rather show happiness on it. I hope that I can inspire other married and unmarried men to take care of their children. After all, it is not just the work of women.

Yusuf said that he opted for surrogacy because the adoption process of the child was rejected several times. He said, 'I tried for adoption for 10 years but I had to face rejection every time. I need a child even if it is not biological. The government has made the process of adoption quite complicated. Something must be done on this. '
