COVID-19 in Mumbai, More Deaths and Cases Registered than China

The COVID-19 figures in the country are creating new and serious records every day. Now this new record is from Mumbai, which has overtaken China in the number of COVID-19 cases and deaths, where this deadly virus was born. So far, 4,938 deaths have been reported from COVID-19 in Mumbai, the commercial capital of the country, and 85,724 cases have been reported, while in China the figures are 4,634 and 83,565 respectively.

Maharashtra overtook Turkey in the number of corona cases

In China, new cases are coming in single digits, which is less than the new cases being filed in Dharavi. Since July 1, more than 1,100 new cases are being filed in Mumbai city. Not only this, Maharashtra has also overtaken Turkey (2,05,758) with 2,11,987 cases, which ranks 14th in the world in number of Corona cases.

9,026 deaths and 2,11,987 cases reported in Maharashtra so far

Earlier on 4 June, Maharashtra had overtaken Germany (1,98,064) and South Africa (2,05,721), which are currently ranked 16th and 15th respectively globally. According to the latest update, Maharashtra has recorded 9,026 deaths and 2,11,987 cases so far. Of these, 87,681 are active cases. The death rate in the state is 4.26 percent and the recovery rate is 54.37. Of the 36 districts in the state, only two are Bhandara and Chandrapur, where no deaths have been reported from Corona.

Corona Cases in India 

According to the Union Health Ministry, during the last 24 hours, a total of 22,252 new cases of coronavirus have come across the country and with these cases the total corona cases in the country have increased to 7,19,665. However, there are fewer active cases and more number of cured people. There are 2,59,597 active cases in total cases.

467 deaths recorded in last 24 hours

With new cases of coronavirus coming up, the number of people who are losing their lives due to corona in the country is also increasing continuously and the figure has also crossed 20 thousand. According to the Union Health Ministry, from Monday 8 am to 8 am Tuesday, 467 deaths due to coronavirus have been recorded across the country and till date the virus has killed a total of 20,160 people across the country.
