Security is being beefed up around the country in preparation for Republic Day. Strictness has additionally been elevated in Jammu and Kashmir. Here unique arrangements have been made for the international border protection of RSpura. Giving facts about the safety situation, a security jawan said that we maintain to patrol the borders irrespective of the weather conditions. In the event of Republic Day on 26 January, there may be an alert at the borders.

Terrorists in the valley are constantly looking for infiltrators. These efforts increase further as Republic Day and Independence Day approaches, due to which the borders are kept on alert. While Inspector General of Border Security Force (BSF), Jammu D.K. Boora said on Monday that the force personnel along the India-Pakistan border in Jammu and Kashmir are on "high alert" because of the threat of creating trouble by anti-national elements on Republic Day.

"Vigilance on the border for two weeks"

He said that the BSF has already increased the vigil on the border for two weeks. He said that anti-tunnel operation has been started on the International Border (IB) in Jammu border. Boora said that the BSF is also conducting joint patrols with the Army, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the police to thwart the nefarious designs of the terrorists.

BSF Inspector General told reporters, "There have been reports that anti-national elements may create problems, we have put on 'high-alert' along the border and in the hinterland (to thwart their designs). ''

According to Boora, intelligence indicates the likelihood of certain cross-border activity. "We have received information regarding actions such as the infiltration or transit of weapons, ammunition, explosives, or drugs into our territory." However, we are on high alert and will not let anybody succeed in their malicious plans. On the border, the highest number of soldiers and officers are present. We have declared two weeks of border monitoring and a huge border operation.

"Every year during this period there is pressure on the security situation at the borders," he said, "But we are here ready to face all the challenges and thwart the nefarious designs of anti-national elements." Boora said, "We have all the human and technical resources available. We are confident that we will be able to meet the challenges effectively.”

The IG assured the people living on the border and hinterland that they have nothing to fear as the BSF is very alert along the border. "We will do everything possible to ensure the safety of the people," he said.
