In the country's capital, Delhi, preparations for Republic Day are well underway. In the shadow of Corona, rehearsals are taking place following the rules. At the same time, the Delhi tableau will not be shown in this year's Republic Day parade. This year, the national government's selection committee decided not to include the Delhi tableau in the parade.

Delhi Tableau won't be included

The Amrit Mahotsav is being held to commemorate the country's 75th anniversary of independence. As a result, the Delhi government devised a plan to create a tableau themed 'Delhi City of Hope' this time. The Delhi government also issued a public notification in this regard. At the same time, word has come in that the Delhi government's tableau has not gained approval from the central government's selection committee.

Delhi Tableau has been rejected

This isn't the first time that the Delhi tableau has been passed over for inclusion in the Republic Day procession. The Delhi government's tableau could not be chosen in previous years, including in 2018 and 2020. The Delhi government, on the other hand, provided a tableau based on the Delhi school system in 2017. Delhi created a tableau based on Mahatma Gandhi in the year 2019. Mahatma Gandhi spent 720 days in Delhi, as portrayed in the tableau. At the same time, the previous Republic Day parade's Delhi tableau was built on reconstruction. The tableau highlighted development and rehabilitation projects in Delhi's Shahjahanabad neighbourhood.

Grand Flypast in Parade

An Indian Air Force official said on Monday that this year's Republic Day parade at Rajpath will feature the "largest and biggest" flypast with 75 aircraft to commemorate the Amrit Mahotsav liberation celebrations. The flypast would finish with seven Jaguar fighter planes flying in the "Amrit" pattern to mark the country's 75th anniversary of independence, he added. "This year's flypast will be the greatest and largest, with 75 aircraft from the Indian Air Force, Army, and Navy flying during the Republic Day parade," said Indian Air Force PRO Wing Commander Indranil Nandy.

According to Indian Air Force PRO Wing Commander Indranil Nandy, the Tangail Formation, which will consist of one Dakota and two Dornier aircraft, will take off during the flypast. The Tangail airdrop operation of the 1971 conflict will be remembered as a result of this. A Chinook and four Mi-17s from the Meghna Formation will also be there. The flag formation of four Mi-17 aircraft will lead the flypast, which will be followed by the Rudra and Rahat formations of four and five ALH (advanced and light) helicopters, respectively. Rafale, Indian Navy MiG-29K, P-8I observation aircraft, and Jaguar fighter aircraft are among the other aircraft on display in the parade.

Special guests for the Parade

This year's Republic Day will feature a delegation from five Central Asian countries: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
