Report Claims: Panjshir Leader Ahmed Masood did not leave Afghanistan yet

The leader of the Panjshir resistance forces Ahmed Masood, has not left Afghanistan. Iran's news agency FARS provided the information on Saturday citing sources. According to FARS news that Masood has left the Central Asian country for Turkey or elsewhere is just a rumor. Ahmed Masood is said to be in a safe area and is in contact with many Panjshir Valley leaders. According to a news agency, FARS also reported in its report that the Taliban have seized 70 percent of Panjshir's highways.

Meanwhile, the Taliban have claimed that they have completely captured Afghanistan's Panjshir province, the last stronghold of resistance in the country. On the other hand, the National Resistance Front (NRF) led by Masood and Amrullah Saleh, a former Afghan vice-president and who declared himself acting president, has called the Taliban's claim false. The National Retail Federation (NRF) said that resistance forces of Panjshir are present at all the main locations in the Valley to continue fighting.

Qasim Mohammad, a close aide to Masood, told that the Taliban had entered Panjshir a few days ago and now controlled 70 percent of highways and highways. But the valleys of Panjshir are still completely controlled by the Masood.

Ahmed Masood had called for a national uprising against the Taliban with an audio message sent to the media last Monday. According to Al Jazeera newspaper, Ahmed Masood said in his message that wherever you are, inside or outside, I urge you to start rebelling against the dignity, freedom, and prosperity of our country.
