Two More People Died of Coronavirus in Andhra Pradesh, 22 Dead so Far

The death toll in the state has risen to 22 after two more people died of Covid-19 in Andhra Pradesh. The government said that after 35 new cases were reported on Tuesday, the number of infected people reached 757. Four more patients were discharged from the hospital after recovering in a 24-hour period ending by 9 am on Tuesday, after which the number of people recovering after treatment has risen to 96.

The latest bulletin issued in connection with Covid-19 said that two more people died in Guntur district. The total number of dead in the district has increased to six. There are still 639 corona infections in the state which are being treated in various hospitals. Official sources said that 40 of these patients are in ICU and some of them are in critical condition. After 16 cases were reported on Monday, 10 more cases were reported in Kurnool district, after which the number of infected people has increased to 184, which is the highest in the state. On the other hand, the number of cases has increased to 158 after the arrival of nine new cases in Guntur district.

After the emergence of three new cases in Krishna district, the number of infected people has increased to 83. In the last 24 hours, nine new cases have been reported in Kadapa, four in West Godavari and three in Anantapuramu. For the third consecutive day, not a single new case has come out from SPS Nellore and Prakasam districts. No cases have been found so far in the two northern coastal districts – Srikakulam and Vizianagaram. The bulletin said that from 9 am Monday to 9 am Tuesday, 5,022 samples were tested out of which 4,987 have not confirmed infection.
