The Protest Should Be in the Realm of Decency and Decorum: JNU Protest

Shivani Alakh

Jawaharlal Nehru University has been in constant discussion for the last about two-three months. Recently there were reports of some masked people entering the university campus and assaulting the students and there has been a ruckus in the case since then. For this, a round of accusations continues between ABVP and Left student organizations to political parties.

Although the police investigation is going on in this regard, it is ironic that this university of the country remains in the discussion due to less, meaningless controversies due to its academic achievements.

The police claimed to have identified the masked miscreants in their initial investigation, but no concrete action has been taken so far in the case. But from social media to the street, the attitude of some so-called intellectuals who have been expressing support for the students seems like a judge. It seems that they have decided to be a victim and a victim and are running a campaign based on that.
