Terrible Fire Broke out in Surat’s Packaging Mill, 125 People Evacuated

A massive fire broke out in a packaging mill of Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) located at Kadodara in Surat, Gujarat Today. It is being told in media reports that some workers jumped from a building to escape the fire, killing 2 workers. This is a 5 story ground-plus building. Many workers are trapped inside the building.

It is also being told that some artisans were rescued with the help of a hydraulic crane. According to the local administration, so far about 125 laborers have been pulled out of this fire. It is feared that many people jumped from the building to escape the fire. The police team and fire brigade officials are present on the spot for relief and rescue work. The rescue operation is on.

More than 10 vehicles of the fire department reached the spot

According to media reports, on the information of this terrible arson, more than 10 vehicles of the fire department have reached the spot and top officials have reached. Before the arrival of the fire department, some laborers jumped down, due to which two laborers died.

According to the local administration, so far 125 laborers have been rescued from the fire. However 10 fire tenders are present at the spot, and rescue work is going on.

In this regard, Surat SDM KG Vaghela confirmed two deaths. He has said that several persons jumped from the top floor of the building, due to which 2 people have died. The SDM said that teams of fire brigade are engaged in trying to douse the fire on the spot. He said that 125 people have been rescued from the building by the fire brigade.
