Schools and Colleges to reopen in Delhi from November 1, Says Manish Sisodia
Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister cum Education Minister Manish Sisodia has announced the opening of all schools and colleges in Delhi. Manish Sisodia told the media on Wednesday that the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has given permission to reopen all educational institutions in the city from November 1 and hold Chhath Puja celebrations amid strict Covid protocols.

He said that schools will have to ensure that classes are conducted in a 'hybrid' manner, which means that offline as well as online classes will continue. Sisodia said in a conference after the DDMA meeting, 'All private and government schools can be reopened from November 1. However, parents cannot be forced to send their children to schools. He said that there should not be more than 50 per cent attendance of students at a time during classes. Also, both the doses of the corona vaccine should be administered to all the staff at the earliest.
People are requested to follow all covid protocols
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that a limited number of people will be allowed to perform Chhath Puja at pre-determined places in the capital. He said, 'People are requested to follow all corona protocols and wear masks'. The situation of corona in Delhi is under control, but we all have to be careful and alert.
It is noteworthy that since the announcement of lockdown in the entire country in March 2020, all schools-colleges and educational institutions were closed. Now gradually educational institutions are being opened in the states. In this episode, the Aam Aadmi Government of Delhi has also decided to open schools and colleges in Delhi.
