Politics has also intensified due to the unprecedented rise in onion prices. Leaders are now adopting new ways to oppose it. In the same sequence, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MLA Shivchandra Ram reached the Bihar Assembly wearing an onion garland. He said that he has come wearing an onion garland, and then Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will see.

In the House on the fourth day of the winter session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly, Shivchandra Ram expressed his opposition in this manner, instead targeting the central and state government over expensive onions. He said, 'Onion has disappeared from everyone's dinner plate today. Nitish Kumar and Agriculture Minister (Prem Kumar) give big speeches about the agricultural roadmap, but onion prices went up, while crores of rupees were spent in the name of agricultural road map. '

Shivchandra Ram said, "Wearing (onion) garland, we will go to the assembly only then will the Chief Minister see it and we will tell how the price of onion is causing problems to the common man?"

80 rupees per kg onion in Patna
Significantly, the retail price of onion has reached Rs 80 per kg in Patna, the capital of Bihar. Shopkeepers say that earlier they used to sell 30-50 kg of onions in a day.
