Retired IAS Tarun Kapoor of Himachal Cadre Appointed as PMO Advisor

IAS Tarun Kapoor, an IAS officer of the Himachal Pradesh cadre has got a big responsibility. Tarun Kapoor, a retired IAS officer of the Himachal cadre, has been appointed as advisor to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Tarun has also been the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of some districts in Himachal. He has also been the Secretary of Energy.

Tarun Kapoor is retired as petroleum secretary

Tarun Kapoor, a 1987 batch Indian Administrative Service officer, is retired as petroleum secretary. He has also served on the Delhi Development Authority as Vice-Chairman. He was Additional Chief Secretary in Himachal. Even as Deputy Commissioner of various districts, he has done commendable work, which the public still remembers. It is because of his ability that now after retirement he has got a big responsibility.

While living in Himachal, he held the responsibility of Environment, Forest, Energy, Public Works, Excise and Taxation, Food and Supplies Departments. He did his MBA after completing his graduation in Electrical Engineering.

After getting selected for the administrative service, he got the Himachal Pradesh cadre. Tarun Kapoor, a 1987 batch Indian Administrative Service officer, has held many important positions in Himachal Pradesh and the Center and discharged his responsibilities with utmost sincerity.

Tarun Kapoor has been appointed for a two-year term

It is being told that the Central Government has appointed Tarun Kapoor as an advisor to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for two years and orders have also been issued in this regard. Tarun Kapoor originally hails from the Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh.

Kapoor's appointment as Advisor to the Prime Minister has been confirmed by the Cabinet Appointments Committee (ACC). He has been appointed for two years. Hari Ranjan Rao and Atish Chandra have been appointed as additional secretaries in the PMO. Rao is a Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS officer from the 1994 batch and Atish Chandra is a Bihar cadre officer from the 1994 batch.
