Rajat Sharma Again Takes Charge as DDCA President

On Monday, senior journalist Rajat Sharma once again took over as the chairman of DDCA following the order of retired Justice Badar Durrej Ahmed, the Lokpal of Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA). However, the members of the apex council wrote a letter to Rajat Sharma citing the company rule that once he resigned he could not hold office again.

It is known that Rajat Sharma resigned from the post on Saturday in the name of DDCA amidst constant controversy and pressure, without naming anyone. After this, Lokpal Ahmed on Sunday stayed the resignations of Sharma and other officials and issued orders to them to continue in their posts. Also, suspended General Secretary Vinod Tihara was banned from being reinstated to the post.

After re-assuming the post of Chairman, Sharma issued a statement, in which he wrote, 'I have taken charge of the post of Chairman of DDCA with immediate effect on the direction of Lokpal. I would request all of you to cooperate with me in running the affairs of DDCA in an honest and transparent manner. I urge all of you not to attend any meeting of the apex council which was convened or held without my consent. '
