Shivani Alakh

Students will protest in front of Delhi Police Headquarter on Wednesday to protest against lathi charge on students during the Parliament march held on Monday against the fee hike in JNU. Actually, this demonstration is being done in protest against lathi charge on students with disabilities.

The press conference on behalf of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) representatives on Tuesday announced the withdrawal of the support being given to the students' union while disagreeing with the movement of leftist student organizations.

JNU unit president of ABVP Durgesh Kumar said that the Left student organizations are continuously campaigning against the RSS and ABVP, while all are part of the student movement seeking to reduce the increase in hostel fees. We were supported on our behalf, but because of this act, we have withdrawn our support. We condemn the behavior of the students on behalf of the Delhi Police on Monday, but the student union did not formulate any concrete strategy during the demonstration march on how to deal with the police.
