Former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Ajit Jogi Hospitalized

Former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh and Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (J) chief Ajit Jogi was admitted to the hospital on Saturday after his health deteriorated. Ajit Jogi's son and former MLA Amit Jogi said that on Saturday afternoon Ajit Jogi was having breakfast, then suddenly his health deteriorated, Amit Jogi said that after this Ajit Jogi was immediately taken to the hospital.

He told that Ajit Jogi's condition is critical and told that Renu Jogi, the wife of Ajit Jogi and MLA from Kota area and others are present in the hospital. Amit Jogi said that he (Ajit Jogi) was in Bilaspur during the incident, whereas after getting information about the incident, he left for Raipur.

Ajit Jogi, who came into politics from the Indian Administrative Service, is currently an MLA from Marwahi region. He became the first Chief Minister of the state during the creation of Chhattisgarh State in 2000 and remained Chief Minister till 2003.

The Congress was defeated by the Bharatiya Janata Party in the first elections to the state assembly in 2003. Jogi formed the new party Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (J) in the year 2016 due to differences with Congress leaders in the state and is its chief.
