Formation of New Cabinet in Gujarat, Know Full List of New Ministers

Governor Acharya Devvrat administered oath to 24 ministers in the new cabinet in Gujarat in the presence of CM Bhupendrabhai Patel and former CM Vijay Rupani. Gujarat Assembly Speaker Rajendra Trivedi has been formally inducted into Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel's cabinet. Harsh Sanghvi (Surat), Jagdish Panchal (Ahmedabad), Brijesh Merja (Morbi), Jitu Bhai Chaudhary, and Mahi Manisha Vakil were sworn in as Ministers of State with independent charge of the Chief Minister. While Mukesh Patel, Nimisha Suthar, Arvind Raiyani, Kuber Dindor, and Kirti Vaghela took oath as ministers of state. Gajendra Parmar, Raghav Makwana, Vinod Mordia, Deva Malam were also included as ministers of state in the new government.

New faces added to cabinet

Former BJP president Jitu Vaghani, Surat MLA Purnesh Modi, North Gujarat BJP MLA Hrishikesh Patel, and Congress MLA Raghavji Patel have been included in the cabinet. Trivedi had earlier resigned from the post of Speaker of the Assembly. However, those joining the cabinet include Surat MLA Harsh Sanghvi, Brijesh Merja.

Nimaben Acharya, MLA from Kutch Bhuj, has been appointed as the Acting Speaker of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly. MLAs from Ahmedabad Pradeep Parmar, Kirit Singh Rana, Arjun Singh Chauhan, Kanu Desai, Naresh Patel have also been included in the cabinet.

Purnesh Modi was not involved in the discussion

The name of the MLA Purnesh Modi from Surat was not in the discussion earlier. Purnesh Modi has filed a defamation case against former Congress President Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi had given a statement in an election rally regarding Modi's surname and criticized Prime Minister Modi. It was because of this statement that Purnesh Modi had complained to the police against Rahul Gandhi.

Bhupendrabhai Patel took oath on Monday

Let us inform you that on Monday, Ghatlodia MLA Bhupendrabhai Patel took the oath as the 17th Chief Minister of Gujarat. The new chief minister is from the Patidar community. In the Gujarat BJP Legislature Party meeting held on Sunday, 59-year-old BJP leader Bhupendra Patel was unanimously elected for the chief minister's post. However, in the 2017 state election, the BJP won 99 of the state's 182 assembly seats and the Congress 77.
