Delhi: The Journey of Millions of People of East Delhi will be Easy, After 2 Months

Nidhi Hakla

Those who used to get stuck in the grueling traffic of Seelampur and Shastri Park on GT Road are going to get relief in the next two months.  The main part of the scheme launched by the ruling Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi to get rid of the traffic at both these points is going to be able to support the people.  Officials of the Public Works Department, Govt of NCT of Delhi working on the plan say that the construction material etc. got in sufficient quantity and the work continued continuously without disruption, then traffic started on both these flyovers in two months.

In this regard, the officials of the Public Works Department said that along with completing the work of Shastri Park and Seelampur flyover, work is also being done on the old iron bridge and the loop leading to Khajuri, but both these works will take time. Similarly, a 700-meter long 6-lane two-way flyover will also be built at Shastri Park Red Light, making the Dharmapura T-Point red light to be signal free.  The existing underpass will be widened with the construction of a flyover at Seelampur Chowk.  Two U-Turns will be given for traffic at Seelampur Chowk.

A 1200 meter long one-way flyover at Seelampur Tea Point and a 700 meter long six-lane flyover at Shastri Park intersection is being built.  With the construction of these two flyovers, the corridor between ISBT to UP border will also become signal free.  There is a one-way flyover on the route from ISBT to Gandhinagar and Shahdara, but on the other side of the road people are often stuck in a jam.  Another one-way flyover is being built to deal with this problem.
