Delhi Police asked Twitter to Share Details of Accounts which sharing Child Sex Abuse Content

After the suspension of Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad's account, Twitter's troubles are not taking its name. A case has been registered against the MD of Twitter in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh for showing the wrong map of the country. On the other hand, Delhi Police has also registered a case against Twitter in connection with child pornography. Now Delhi Police has asked Twitter for details of accounts that share the content of child pornography.

Meanwhile, the National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken up the issue of pornographic content on Twitter. The Commission said that action should be taken on this within a week.

The Delhi Police had registered this case on the complaint of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights. The commission had said that we have received a complaint about a minor girl being threatened online. Apart from this, we have also found pornographic material on Twitter. Delhi Police on Wednesday said that the matter is being investigated. On the other hand, Twitter said after this complaint that we have a zero-tolerance policy regarding pornographic content.

4 cases on Twitter so far

  1. The Ghaziabad Police had registered an FIR against Twitter under sections 153, 153-A, 295-A, 505, 120-B, and 34 of the IPC for assault and indecency with a Muslim elder. On June 17, the police had summoned Manish Maheshwari, MD of Twitter India, to appear before the police in 7 days.
  2. The second FIR on Twitter MD Manish Maheshwari was also registered in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. A case was registered in Bulandshahr for showing the wrong flag of the country on its site. In this case, a complaint was made on behalf of Bajrang Dal leader Praveen Bhati.
  3. The third FIR on Twitter was registered by the Cyber ​​Cell of Delhi Police on Tuesday. In the case of child pornographic content, this case has been registered on the complaint of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights.
  4. On Tuesday itself, the cyber cell of Madhya Pradesh Police registered a case against Twitter India MD Manish Maheshwari under section 505 of the IT Act for showing the wrong map of the country on its site.

Law Minister's account was blocked for 1 hour

Twitter blocked the handle of IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad for an hour on June 25 in the morning. The reason for this was said that Prasad has violated the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of America. However, Twitter later reopened the handle of Ravi Shankar Prasad, giving a warning. There was also a conflict between the government and Twitter regarding this issue.
