Delhi: PM Modi to Address Kargil Vijay Diwas Festival Today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the program related to Kargil Vijay Diwas at Delhi's Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium today (Saturday). The program has been organized on the occasion of completion of 20 years of Kargil war.

This is the first time Prime Minister Kargil will address the nation on the occasion of Vijay Day. So far, no Prime Minister has attended any public function organized on Kargil Vijay Diwas. A short film made on the Kargil war will also be shown in this program and the band of the army will also be present.

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Kargil victory day, Prime Minister Modi tweeted and paying tribute to the martyrs of war in the war, said, "I warmly greet all the heroes of Mother Bharati." This day reminds us of the courage, bravery, and dedication of our soldiers. On this occasion, my humble tribute to those mighty warriors, who favored all in the defense of the motherland.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also shared some photographs of his visit to Kargil during the Indo-Pak war of 1999 on Friday. Sharing the pictures on Twitter, PM Modi said, "During the Kargil war in 1999, I got an opportunity to go to Kargil and show solidarity with our brave soldiers.
