Delhi has shown that Votes can be Earned with Cheap Electricity: Arvind Kejriwal

Delhi Assembly Election Result: Before the commencement of Delhi Vidhan Sabha Election Result 2020, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has said that 24-hour cheap electricity should be available in 21st century in India. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal on Monday expressed happiness that cheap electricity has become a point of political debate at the national level. He said that Delhi has shown that free electricity can get votes.

Like the Aam Aadmi Party government of Delhi, Kejriwal, while reacting to news by the Maharashtra government about subsidising electricity, said that 24-hour cheap electricity should be available in 21st century India.

Kejriwal tweeted, 'I am happy that cheap electricity has become a matter of debate in national politics. Delhi has shown that it is possible to provide free or cheap electricity. Delhi has shown that it can also get votes. In 21st century India, electricity should be available at a cheaper rate for 24 hours.' The counting of votes for the Assembly elections held on 8 February in Delhi is going to be held today. Most exit polls have predicted the return of the Kejriwal- Aam Aadmi Party government to power.
