12-year-old Milan Yadav, who lives in Jhuljhuli village located in Matiala assembly constituency of the capital, has raised the voice of providing basic facilities. Milan has written a letter to the President, Prime Minister, Lieutenant Governor, and Chief Justice of Delhi High Court to solve the problems of the village. Along with the eight-page letter, Milan has also sent pictures related to the problems of the village.
Milan Yadav, who is studying in Class VI in a private school in the area, came to know about the responsibility of local bodies and panchayats in the matter of getting work in villages from the book of Political Science. Talking to Dada Jile Singh, he told that the Panchayati Raj system has ended in Delhi in the year 1990. It is the responsibility of the Municipal Corporation to provide facilities in the villages. After this, with the help of cousin Aakriti Yadav, Milan read the Municipal Corporation Act on Google. Explored the provisions under which it is necessary to provide basic facilities to the villagers in the villages.
After reading the act of the Municipal Corporation, Milan along with his uncle Satyapal Yadav and cousin sister saw him in the village and did not find a single facility there. She made a list of problems and did photos of them. After this, with the help of my cousin's sister, wrote a letter in English. In this letter, she has discussed the broken roads, streets, drains. And drains of the village, and the poor sanitation system.
She has drawn attention to the problem of waterlogging due to the lack of a proper drainage system. She also threw light on the plight of toilets built in the village. At the same time, she has also expressed concern over the lack of health services, playgrounds, parks, etc. in the village. In the letter, she has urged to solve the problems of the village and provide facilities under the three provisions of the Municipal Corporation Act.
Milan Yadav has done a great job by drawing attention to the plight of the village at a young age. But growing up she has no desire to go into politics. She wants to become a teacher. They say that there is no better job than a teacher. The teacher decides the future of the children. Along with educating the children, the teacher also educates the children.
