Andhra Pradesh: 80 New Cases of Coronavirus, 1171 Total Infected

Four cases of corona virus infection have been reported at Raj Bhavan in Andhra Pradesh. At the same time, six people have been found infected in the family of an MP in Kurnool district. The total numbers of infected people reached 1,177 on Monday after a total of 80 new cases of infection were reported in the state in the last 24 hours.

The government health bulletin did not give detailed information about the infected, but an official source said that four employees of Governor Vishwabhushan Harichandan are also infected.

A local newspaper has quoted an MP saying that six members of his family have been infected, including his 83 year old father. In the last 24 hours, 33 new infections have been reported in Krishna district, 23 in Guntur and 13 in Kurnool.

31 people have died from the infection, whereas four patients have been discharged from hospitals in Chittoor and West Godwari district while 235 people have so far gone home after being cured in the state.
