Indian women's hockey team beat New Zealand 3–0 in the last match of the five-match tour. Striker Navneet Kaur scored two goals in the 45th and 58th minutes while Sharmila scored in the 54th minute. No team could score a goal in the first two quarters. Navneet opened the account with a goal in the 45th minute.  Sharmila then doubled India's lead in the 54th minute. Navneet scored her second goal two minutes before the final whistle sounded. India defeated the New Zealand Development Team by 4–0 in the first match on this tour. The senior team then lost 1-2, 0-1. India beat Britain 1–0 in the fourth match.

India's head coach Shored Marin said that I am happy that we scored three goals against New Zealand. Through this tour, we came to know very well where there is a need to improve. We have to play high-speed hockey.

He said that many times players keep rolling the ball for a long time, which creates pressure. We have to give short passes. The coach said that the defense will have to exercise some more restraint. We will attend a four-week camp after a short break. These aspects will be worked on in that camp. The Indian team will return home on February 7.
