After the decision to abolish the duty of 25 thousand Home Guard personnel in Uttar Pradesh, churning has started in the Home Guard Department regarding the duties of these soldiers, but politics has also started on this issue. BSP supremo Mayawati has put the Yogi government in the dock and asked why government is punishing millions of her family by sacking 25 thousand home guards.

BSP President Mayawati on Wednesday tweeted that 'why is the UP government punishing its wrong economic policies by dismissing 25 thousand homeguards and giving lakhs of people to their families? Due to this, there will be more chaos in the state. Why is the government increasing unemployment more than giving employment? It is better if the government pays proper attention to public interest.

The police department had decided to abolish the duty of 25 thousand home guard jawans. Due to lack of police force in the police stations, it was decided to put the Home Guard jawans in the law and order duties. For this, the Home Guard Department gave 25 thousand soldiers for police duty, who are handling traffic from police stations to squares. It is believed that this decision has been taken after the recruitment of soldiers and increasing the honorarium of Home Guard jawans. However, later Home Guard Department Minister Chetan Chauhan has said that no home guards will be removed, all should celebrate their Diwali well. He assured that no home guard would be unemployed.
